LCLAA celebrates dia de las madres
Many of us know or were raised by strong, working Latina mothers - women who nurtured us, guided us and provided for us. Working mothers make up a large portion of our workforce, with well over 23 million mothers working full-time.
Remembering Workers killed & Fighting for workers now
Two years ago the pandemic started in the United States. It disrupted our daily lives and threatened our health. But it also brought the conversation about worker safety to the forefront. The country counted on essential workers, such as grocery store clerks, nurses, and bus drivers, to continue their service, despite the significant health risk.
WHY I DECIDED TO STUDY LABOR
If you ask most students my age, they do not know Labor Studies is a major. It is not promoted well or it is something that students do not seek out. I only heard of Labor Studies after I transferred into a four year university and even then, Labor Studies found me.
