From Struggle to Strength: Honoring 60 Years of Farmworkers Power
Querida Familia LCLAA
Before we close out March, let's take a moment to honor the voices that too often go unheard - those who have courageously fought to defend their dignity, protect their rights, and uplift their communities. Today, we recognize farmworkers for their strength, for enduring the movement, and for the significant achievements they have secured over the past 60 years for all workers.
The Labor Movement, the Farmworkers Movement, and every force that has driven progress forward are rooted in the power of the people - every member, every worker - and the power of unity.
We recognize that the progress we celebrate today was never given; it was earned through sacrifices, resilience, and collective actions. Each step forward reflects generations who organized, raised their voices, and refused to be silenced or made invisible. Their legacy reminds us that change is possible when we stand together with purpose and determination.
As we continue the fight for justice, let us carry that spirit with us. We invite a toda nuestra familia, la familia LCLAA, to continue building unity: to stay strong, to stand in solidarity, and to come together to organize. Let us keep lifting each other up, defending our communities, and fighting for justice - because we are who we are when we move, fight, and work as one.
In Solidarity,
Evelyn DeJesus,
LCLAA National President.

Caring for ourselves and one another is at the heart of our movement - and it's something we practice every day.
That's why LCLAA launched our "Amándome a Mí para Amarte a Tí." newsletter series - Strong Workers, Healthier Communities: Reducing Tobacco Harm - focused on turning self-love into action by prioritizing our health and protecting our union siblings and families.
Nearly 2.3 million Latinos in the U.S. still smoke, impacting our workplaces and communities. In this first edition, we break down why it matters and share steps to reduce harm and support one another - because en nuestra lucha, love is how we show up, every day. Read the first edition now, here.
