Protecting the Fabric of Freedom
Querida familia LCLAA,
This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, dignity, and resilience of LGBTQ+ workers and communities across our country. As we remember the fight de nuestros hermanos y hermanas, we must confront a sobering truth: discriminatory policies and extremist rhetoric are fulling fear, violence, and injustice. These attacks fall hardest immigrants, communities of color, and low-wage workers.
From attacks on trans rights to rollbacks on workplace and healthcare protection, we are witnessing a dangerous rise in hate and we cannot stay silent. ¡No daremos ni un paso atrás! We will not go back to a time when intolerance was normalized. We've fought too far and come too far to let hate turns us around now.
At LCLAA, we are committed to protecting and defending the Fabric of Freedom, a diverse and powerful Labor Movement, built by immigrants, LGBTQ+ people, and workers striving for justice.
As we stand in solidarity with our LGBTQ+ siblings, we reject any display ment to glorify one individual. We are not a monarchy, we are a democracy rooted in the power of the people.
We are not outsiders. We are immigrants, workers, and dreamers - we are the heart of this great nation and the backbone of its workforce.
This Pride Month let's not just celebrate, let's organize, mobilize, and raise together.
Because and injury to one is an injury to all.
¡Unámonos por nuestros derechos y nuestras familias!
In Solidarity,
Evelyn DeJesus,
LCLAA National President.
