Workers Deserve Week of Action
Querida familia LCLAA,
As we approach Labor Day, we stand united and join the AFL-CIO and the entire Labor Movement for the Workers Deserve Week of Action. Our communities are under attack – our Social Security, our rights to bargain collectively, our immigrant families, and our very democracy are at risk.
We call on every LCLAA member, chapter, friend, and ally to join us in the street – in marches, rallies, and community actions across the country. Together, we must show that workers’ voices cannot be silent and that our power lies in unity and action.
We must join the fight to defend and protect our legacy. A legacy that generations of workers have fought – and sacrificed – to win the rights and protection we enjoy today. We honor them by continuing the struggles and by refusing to allow political interest to roll back decades of progress.
We cannot remain quiet when those in power attempt to weaken the independence of our institutions and undermine the very foundations that make our country strong. We must act with courage, solidarity, and determination.
Workers have always been the backbone of democracy and justice in America. We must rise to protect our families, our rights, and our future.
Join us! Organize! Mobilize! Let’s act together to defend our democracy, uplift our communities, and secure a brighter future for our children.
In Solidarity,
Evelyn DeJesus,
LCLAA National President.
